What is A+ Occupational Medicine?
Occupational Medicine (OM or OccMed) is the branch of clinical medicine concerned with occupational health with the goal of keeping your employees well in the workplace. Visit our A+ OccMed Care page to learn more.
What A+ services are available to me as an Employer?
Everything you need for your workers’ complete health is available through the integrated services offered by A+ Total Care. Our A+ Urgent Care services can address minor on-the-job employee injuries, while physicals and fitness assessments and workers’ compensation cases are efficiently managed through A+ OccMed Care. After-hours drug and alcohol testing services are also available performed on-site or at our clinic by an A+ OccMed Care Certified Technician 7 days a week by calling 775-296-DRUG (3784). We can also offer referrals for specialty services.

How do I sign up my company for A+ OccMed Care services?
To get signed up for A+OccMed services, please contact the A+ Occupational Medicine Department by calling 775-777-7587 or by sending an email using our online contact form. You will be asked to complete and submit our Company Data form that can be downloaded from our Employers Forms page or completed and submitted online to be received by A+ Patient Services staff.
Do you offer on-site services?
Yes, A+ can travel to your place of business to conduct convenient on-site vaccine and flu clinics, health clinics (which can include 2 Medical Assistants), and also provide lipid panel and hemoglobin A1C testing and more.
If you are an existing A+ OccMed Care customer, you can schedule an on-site service by calling 775-777-7587 and asking for the A+ Occupational Medicine Department or send an email using our online contact form. Be sure to provide the details on how many employees we’ll be assisting along with your location address, the services you’d like performed, and a preferred date and time.
We also have after-hours, on-call drug and alcohol testing services available on-site 7 days a week by calling 775-296-DRUG (3784).
Physicals, Screenings & Tests
Can A+ perform Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) and Department of Transportation (DOT) physicals?
We sure can! We accept walk-ins for our CDL/DOT Physicals but give priority to scheduled appointments. We’ll provide the CDL/DOT forms and cards for the physical to save you a trip to the DMV.
Do you offer Department of Transportation (DOT) drug screens?
Yes, all A+ staff are DOT-trained and certified to conduct DOT drug screenings. After-hours, on-call drug and alcohol testing (send-out) performed on-site or at our clinic is also available 7 days a week by calling 775-296-DRUG (3784).
Does A+ perform biometric screens?
Yes, using our in-house glucose, lipid, and hemoglobin A1c machine, A+ can perform biometric screening exams to provide insight into your employees’ overall health. We can also do a blood draw and send it out to a lab of your choosing. See our full list of treatments and services all work-related exams and procedures A+ offers.
Does A+ offer drug screening?
A+ can collect the appropriate urine, blood, breath and/or hair samples and submit it to a lab of your choosing or we can do an instant 12-panel screen (Spice/K2 & Alcohol) at our clinic for quick test results available within 5 minutes. For after-hours drug and alcohol testing, a certified A+ Technician is available to you 7 days a week by calling 775-296-DRUG (3784).
Can A+ provide Respirator Clearances (Fit Testing)?
Yes, A+ can properly fit your employees for any mask including full face masks. We have half-faced masks at our clinic for fitting purposes, but if you want fittings done for full-faced masks for your employees to wear, you will need to provide the specific mask in all sizes.
Workers’ Compensation & Billing
Are Workers’ Compensation Cases accepted by A+ OccMed Care?
We do accept Workers’ Compensation Cases, however, if the case is something we are unable to assist with like chest pain or eye concerns, we will refer your employee to a specialist or to the Emergency Room if necessary.
How would the medical billing for my business be handled by A+?
For occupational medicine services, A+ will not bill the injured worker’s individual insurance, but will send the claim directly to your company’s group insurance plan. Does A+ Occupational Medicine accept my business’ medical insurance plan?
